It does take time to get adjusted to this hard boot (not just the feel, but also its design differences to the standard DX soft-press which affects fitment inside the Z41), and at first I too didn't quite accept it. But once you do, you'll love it and appreciate its virtues. This boot can mitigate accidental clicky actuation better than the other boots, and is more abrasion-resistant than even its medium-press variant, also based on the same mold.
If your McClicky-modded SF light gets used a lot under harsh conditions, then this boot should withstand such conditions well. Just make sure to tighten up the boot when installing the OR McC upgrade to the Z41/G2 tailcap host; otherwise water resistance of the tailcap will be compromised.
