Solar Force PTS3 Tape Switch - Tape Switch and tailcap for Solar Force, SureFire etc

Had to rebuild everything on this switch! (The one I ordered and the replacement) Re-solder, Embed in epoxy, and change the LOUD remote switch. If you are not a home brew Macgiver and must have a switch like this...then do yourself a favor and buy the Surefire equivilent...If you are, it can be made reliable...just does not come that way.

I wanted this because it seemed like it would work perfectly for how I wanted my ACR. It is a great idea, but my pressure pad wire has a short near the base of the connector where it threads into the tailcap. Obviously I can't count on it and I don't feel like ordering a replacement. The tailcap itself is great except for the long knob hanging off the rear if you don't use the pressure pad. The pressure pad is too large to fit into the MOE illumination kit holders without modifying one.

The build and quality of this item is great. I'm using it in conjunction with a Solar Force L2p body with Solar Force 1 CR123a body extension mounted on my rifle as a weapons light. The detachable tape switch is what sold me on this item. It will function as a normal clicky with or without the tape switch. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a tail cap with tape switch to mount on a rifle. The anodizing is similar to the HA-III on the L2p body.
