I was somewhat skeptical of this too, yet I quickly changed my mind when I turned this on for the first time. You can feel a strong amount of heat when you hold your hand in front of this light, even when you shine it on your feet. It is definitely brighter than my car's bright headlights, and almost twice as bright as a WF-500. Runtime is decent for a light of this caliber, sturdy workmanship and great placement of o-rings, also great anodized finish make up an overall 5/5 stars for this. |

So this light is every little bit of holy cow bright. Great build with double seal at tail switch end. The only thing i would change is the tail switch is just ok. I use 3 ultrafire 18650 unprotected batteries. Loved it so much gave 2 of theme away this Christmas. and they all loved them. use the for on the water. great light output. you can feel the heat even 2 feet away. |

Okay, this is my second L1200. I bought new Ultrafire batteries but the draw from the bulb is so high that the protection circuit of the batteries would kick in. I could rapid click the tailcap several times and it would fire up but thats hardly a tactical solution. I read on Candle Power Forums that this light works best with AW 18650 batteries. Its very bright, think Surefire Dominator 10x bright. Overall a great light with a massive amount of flood. Not much of a thrower though. |

Yessiree, uh-huh, now that''s what I''m talkin'' about, man! This marvel is one powerful beast of a flashlight. I just tried it out tonight and I am very impressed with it''s stunning output of lumens. Sensational, to say the least. One could spend a couple hundred more on another brand and still not get this kind of production. Many thanks, Lighthound |

I was a little skeptical at the true output of this light before my purchase. The first night that I was able to fire this thing up I became a believer. This is absolutely the brightest light I have ever used. The Solarforce L1200 has more light output than my headlights on the bright setting!
The throw on this light has to be well over 300 yards!
