The TerraLUX MiniStar2 EXTREME (TLE-5EX) upgrades the Mag Instruments® MiniMaglite® 2AA flashlight to tactical performance by replacing the incandescent bulb with the brightest LED commercially available that provides 140 Lumens of light. The TLE-5EX kit includes a replacement reflector and adds the TerraLUX LED Light Engine® to produce both a constant light intensity and a pure white light, avoiding the dimming and orange cast of an incandescent bulb. The PowerPush™ circuit also extends battery life by draining virtually all power from the 2AA cells. It keeps batteries out of landfills by running your flashlight longer and brighter! Note that the standard 1 Watt MiniStar2 gives a longer battery life and 50 Lumens of light output.

Not that bright
Better than the stock bulb but is definitely not 140 lumens. Maybe about half that. No problems with the bulb though.

Bright, but not very SPOT focused
I wish the LED element with it's little lens was a bit more "proud" toward the flashlight lens. It sits so deep in the reflector that it's nearly impossible to adjust it to a SPOT. Adjusting it any farther turns the minimag OFF. Otherwise, a very bright replacement indeed. - Lumpy
